The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a Clinical Academic Rheumatologist to be based at the University of Alberta Hospital and Strathcona Community Hospital. Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions.
The Division of Rheumatology provides world class innovative clinical care to patients with rheumatic disease in Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Divisional members are strongly involved with medical education, research, and administrative portfolios.
The successful candidate will have an MD degree, or equivalent. They will be eligible to be certification in rheumatology with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. As well, the incumbent will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
Remuneration will be based on the Fee-for-Service (FFS) schedule.
Key accountabilities of the position will include, but will not be limited to health services delivery and fulfillment of the academic mission of rheumatology through medical education and administration. The job description as it pertains to these areas may be individualized.
The successful applicant will be expected to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
