This competition will be used to fill two permanent and one (two Year) temporary position located at our downtown Enterprise Square and main campus office.

The Program Advisor reports to the Director, Executive Education Programs and works closely with the Program Administrators to ensure that a portfolio of executive development programs run effectively and efficiently.  The main tasks of this position are related to coordinating program delivery, liaising with instructors, developing relationships with participants and client organizations, and collaborating with industry stakeholders. The position also involves supporting the strategic direction of the department, and supporting or leading new business development initiatives.

Duties

  • Acts as the main contact for a portfolio of executive development programs, responding to participant inquiries about program objectives and delivery
  • Advises new participants and clients on programs, conducting needs assessment to determine which offerings best meet their needs
  • Working with the Director and through a consulting process works with individuals and clients to develop learning solutions
  • Coordinates Advisory Committees and Focus Groups for current and new programs
  • Acts as the project manager for all programs in the portfolio and executes on the plan for the end to end program development and delivery
  • Ensures that all aspects of the program process have a positive impact on the client experience
  • Responsible for coordinating with the Program Administrator and executing on all task associated with program delivery
  • Plans program schedules for the year
  • Conducts market research to gather information on new programs and potential clients
  • Looks for opportunities to grow business both in an open enrollment and custom environment
  • Works with Program Director to book and run business development meetings and events
  • Works with the Program Director to develop annual budgets for programs and manages program budgets
  • Liaises with Marketing, Instructors, partners  and the Operations Advisor for the production of annual brochures, and other promotional materials, including editing
  • Liaises with Finance on program payments, instructor contracts, and budgets
  • Takes the lead in maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders of this portfolio and executive education as a whole
  • Works with Program Advisor in Calgary for the delivery of any Calgary offerings of programs
  • Identifies opportunities for collaboration with industry stakeholders
  • Takes the lead in maintaining strong relationships with instructors to ensure consistent high quality delivery of all courses; may also coordinate and facilitate discussions amongst instructors
  • Works with instructors to source appropriate resources for programs
  • Reconciles credit card, monthly

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree preferred; minimum completion of post-secondary diploma
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Effective customer service, networking, public speaking, and sales skills
  • Familiarity with copyright and FOIPP rules as per University regulations
  • Financial acumen, including budget experience
  • Demonstrated research, planning and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated well-developed communication and integration skills
